Beach Fishing With Paul Sperco Palm Beach/Martin County Area

Well I hope the wind forecast didn't keep everyone off of the beach today. The surf was a bit sporty, but definitely fishable. I fished with my son Randy and we had some real nice action with the pompano again. We were lucky enough to fill the cooler and the best part of these pompano is there's no need to worry about measuring them - they all have been nice sized fish. Randys highlight today was hooking a big jack in the the 30 lb range, and fighting him for almost 25 minutes before he broke off right at our feet. It seems the beaches on the south end of Hutchinson Island are holding lots of weeds but the area beaches to the north, Middle Cove, Blue Heron, Coconut, and Porpoise have been weed-free. EZ Flea Fishbites and live sand fleas produced all of our bites today. I am hoping the 5 to 7 foot waves hold off for at least the early part of tomorrow morning snd there is a short window of opportunity to catch a few.
