Sebastian Inlet Report
06-07-16 TUESDAY: MANGROVE SNAPPER, REDS AND DRUM
It's more of the same wet weather today with showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain.
Expect mostly cloudy skies with a high near 88. Winds will be south-southwest around 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. A small craft advisory is in effect until 5 P.M. this afternoon with rough conditions on the intracoastal waters.
Due to the weather it's not very busy on the jetties. However, Sarah from the Inlet Bait and Tackle Shop says a few fish have been hitting including reds, mangrove snapper and drum. Most of the action is taking place early and late with the incoming and outgoing tides.
The angler of the day is Bill Hillman. He caught a 36-inch red fish on the outgoing tide. Bill also reported that he hooked up with a 47-inch jack enticed by a large mullet on the end of his line.
