INSHORE: Snook season has closed for harvest, but catch and release action continues to heat up. The bridges are holding a good number of snook. Especially the ones closer to inlets as the snook push on that way. The smaller non-spawning size snook are stacking up around dock lights in good numbers and are a lot of fun on light tackle. Other inshore action remains a bit spotty. Shouldn't be too long before the mangrove snapper start to show up inshore in a little better numbers.
SURF/PIER: Kind of a tough week over all for surf fishing. A handful of late late season pompano are being caught, as well as some croaker in the first trough. Snook are showing up in a little better numbers along the beach, as are a few tarpon and some big jacks. The funky water along the beach has not helped much, and with any luck it'll begin to clear up soon.
