Topwater plugs like a rapala skitterwalk and bagley rattlin mullet have been producing good catches of trout, redfish, and snook early in the morning around the spoil islands and mullet schools. For the guys with live bait, try the spoil islands where the current flows around a point and hold on. The guys fishing the beach with flys have been doing good on the snook in the 18-30 inch range, as well as seeing tarpon rolling just out of range.
