Sebastian Inlet Report
02-17-16 WEDNESDAY: BLACK DRUM, SHEEPSHEAD, POMPANO AND FLOUNDER
What a stunning morning at the Sebastian Inlet. We have a beautiful morning with bright blue skies and cool temperatures. Winds are blowing out of the West-Northwest at 11 mph, gusting to 17 and there is a moderate chop on the water. NOAA has issued a small craft advisory for seas and a small craft advisory is in effect Thursday afternoon through late Thursday night.
Yesterday we had quite a few boats lined up in the inlet outside the channel. Pompano and mid-sized Flounder were being brought over the gunwales. John Dressing of Vero Beach took advantage of the beautiful conditions and fished the south beach yesterday, hoping for some Blues. John was throwing a spoon but couldn't get a bite. He saw one Blue landed by another angler and John got his daily dose of vitamin D!
Our angler of the day is Lamont Willis with a beautiful, 7 lb. Sheepshead he landed off the north catwalk last week.
