Sebastian Inlet Report

09-14-15 MONDAY: SNAPPER, JACKS, SNOOK, REDS, LOOKDOWNS AND BLUE RUNNERS

It's hot and humid this morning but the conditions are a little different. There is a moderate chop on the water, NOAA is calling for 2 - 3' seas with a dominate period of 4 seconds, making it a bumpy offshore. Temperatures are a little lower this week, only in the high 80's instead of 90's. These subtle changes mean that fall fishing is right around the corner, it's been a long, hot summer!

Tommy Turowski at the Sebastian Inlet Bait and Tackle Shop reported a very good bite yesterday. A good variety of fish came over the rails including Mangrove Snapper, Reds, Jacks, Snook, Blue Runners, Lookdowns and one Flounder. Bait is plentiful and mullet are starting to show up off the beach, another indicator of good things to come!

Our photo today is courtesy of inlet regular Mike Ricciardi of Vero Beach. Mike fished the north jetty on Thursday and captured this shot of Randy Clyburn of Orlando with an 18" Mutton Snapper.
