Sebastian Inlet Report

                                                08-13-15 THURSDAY: SLOW ACTION

It's another lovely, steamy summer morning at the inlet. Winds are blowing out of the West-Southwest at 4 mph, gusting to 5 and the water is clean and calm. NOAA is calling for chance showers this morning and probable showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Keep it in mind if you head to the inlet today.

We received an update from Chuck Irwin of Sebastian who is fishing near-shore, south of the inlet this morning. Not much has been hitting this morning; the bite has dropped off from yesterday. Chuck had friends that fished near-shore yesterday who reported lots of Tarpon busting up schools of mullet and Jacks, Blues, Spanish Mackerel and schools of Bonito were in play as well. They were following glass minnows and schools of mullet. Thanks for the update Chuck, hope the bite picks up!

Our photo today features Scott, Kai and Greg all of Melbourne with a nice haul of Mangrove Snapper they landed. The trio fished both incoming and outgoing tides and went home one shy of their limit. They took those Snapper home, cooked them up and had an enormous fish dinner.
