06-05-15 TGIF!
It's looking nice out at the Inlet this morning...sunny, flat surf and fewer drifting weeds. Today's winds will come from the NE at around 5-10 mph. They'll shift to the SE tonight and stay that way for most of the weekend. It'll be mostly smooth on the intracoastal with no advisories issued or forecasted. Scattered showers and PM thunderstorms will likely make an appearance.
Sebastian Inlet Bait and Tackle Shop's Tommy Turowski reports a lot of Mangrove Snapper taken yesterday...mostly in the 17 to 19-inch range. Reds, Margate, Flounder, Jacks, and Sheepshead were bending rods too. For bait, Tommy says there's still quite a few greenies, some Mullet and Mojarras schooling around the jetties.
Our featured angler of the day is Inlet regular, Mike Ricciardi. Mike got an early start and reported a pretty good Mangrove Snapper bite. He also hooked up with some plentiful Spanish Mackerel and an 18-inch Flounder. Mike's baits of choice were greenies, live shrimp and Mojarra.
