Sebastian Inlet Report
05-07-15 THURSDAY: THE BITE PICKED UP YESTERDAY!
What a difference a day makes! It's absolutely beautiful at the inlet this morning. The wind is still a little high; it's blowing out of the North-Northwest at 13 mph and gusting to 17, creating a moderate chop on the water. NOAA has issued a small craft advisory for seas.
We received an update from inlet regular Richard Pearce of Sebastian. Richard took a chance on the weather and fished the north jetty yesterday, and had a good day of fishing. Rich reported that in addition to the oversized C/R Red in our first photo today, he landed lots of Atlantic Spadefish, a Margate and a Sheepshead and lost a few big ones in the process.
Our second photo today is courtesy of Kurush Akbari of Palm Bay. Josh Morrill of Palm Bay landed the huge C/R Snook using a jig. The Snook was released unharmed after the photo.
