Sebastian Inlet Report
05-12-15 TUESDAY: JACKS, BLUES, SNOOK, REDS, LADYFISH AND BLACK DRUM
It's another gorgeous day at the inlet. Winds are blowing out of the East-Southeast at 5 mph, gusting to 7 and there is a light chop on the water. There are no NOAA advisories this morning; there is a slight chance of rain today.
Fishing remains fair for our jetty anglers. It's all about being at the right place at the right time. We received an update and photo from Ben Sunter who was home from college (UF) for a few days. Ben decided to head to the inlet for a day of fishing and reported a productive day. Bluefish, Jacks and Snook were active and mojarra were teeming in the inlet. Schools of Jacks were busting up the schools and watching the mojarra jump and scatter is always an entertaining sight. Ben landed the good sized Blue in our first photo using a silver spoon. Nice catch Ben!
Our second photo features inlet regular Chuck Fischer of Satellite Beach who landed this oversized Red this morning before dark. Chuck released this big Red unharmed right after the photo.
