Sebastian Inlet Report

03-02-15 MONDAY: SPORADIC HITS OF TROUT, BLUES, BLACK DRUM, REDS, SNOOK, SHEEPSHEAD AND POMPANO

We have thick fog at the inlet this morning; we expect it to burn off later this morning bringing us a mix of sun and clouds. Winds are blowing out of the North at 11 mph, gusting to 13 and there is a light chop on the water. There are no NOAA advisories this morning.

Tommy Turwoski at the Sebastian Inlet Bait and Tackle Shop reported a fair weekend for our anglers. Quite a few Trout and Blues were landed along with Snook, Reds, Sheepshead, Black Drum and a few Pompano, but nothing in large numbers. Thanks Tommy!

Our angler of the day is Josh Simmonds of the United Kingdom. Josh and 2 friends flew for ten hours and drove for four hours to fish the Sebastian Inlet to fish the inlet for a week. Josh reported that he met some amazing people and experienced some great fishing despite Florida's coldest winter in quite some time. Josh and his friends are looking forward to another visit next year! Josh landed some nice catches off the north jetty and today we are featuring a large C/R Redfish that was returned to the water unharmed right after the photo.
