Sebastian Inlet Report

02-09-15 MONDAY: SPOTTY BITE OF SHEEPSHEAD, TROUT, SNOOK, REDS AND SMALL BLUES

THE A-1-A BRIDGE IS OPEN. THE SOUTH CATWALK IS UNDER RENOVATION AND WILL REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

We have a beautiful morning at the inlet. Winds are blowing out of the North at 3 mph and there is a light chop on the water. Conditions could change this afternoon as there is a good chance of rain, go prepared if you head to the inlet.

Tommy Turowski at the Sebastian Inlet Bait and Tackle Shop reported that the weekend was typical for this time of year. The bite was slow and spotty with smaller Blues, large Sheepshead, a few Snook, Reds and Trout making appearances.
Our angler of the day is George Hannoush of South Charleston, WV who winters in Port St. Lucie. George landed this real nice Spotted Trout while drifting live shrimp on the outgoing tide on Friday. George landed this nice fish and another Trout that was smaller, about 16" fishing the seawall on the north side of the inlet. George released both Trout unharmed and they swam away to make more Trout!
