Sebastian Inlet Report

It's warmed up and wind has settled down, but the water remains choppy. Winds are blowing out of the West-Northwest at 3 mph and gusting to 5. There is a NOAA advisory for dangerous seas for small craft until 10:00 this morning, but the weekend doesn't look real favorable for boating. The forecast is calling for choppy water, and potential rain but warmer temperatures over the weekend.

Not many anglers showed up at the inlet yesterday, Tommy Turowski of the Sebastian Inlet Bait and Tackle Shop reported that yesterday afternoon big Reds were hitting jigs and spoons for the few anglers who got out and braved the conditions. There's not much to report after a cold, windy day like we had yesterday!

Our first photo today features Karly Manning of Palm Bay. Karly fished the north jetty at sunset when she landed this big bull Red while throwing a flair hawk on the outgoing tide. Karly reported that other Reds were being landed on jigs during her time on the jetty. She didn't bother measuring it as she wanted to get the big guy back into the water.
Dave Dashner is featured in our second photo. Dave fought this 39" bull Red on 20 lb. braid for quite a while before bringing it in for a quick photo and release. This big fish was unharmed and will fight another day!
