Sebastian Inlet Report
01-21-15 WEDNESDAY: SLOW BITE THIS MORNING, CATFISH AND SAND SHARKS
We have a glorious morning at the Sebastian Inlet. Bright blue skies with lots of sunshine, winds are blowing out of the North at 6 mph and the water is calm. The temperature is in the mid 60's this morning and the forecast is calling for a high in the low 70's. What a great day to get out and wet a line even if nothing's biting!
We spoke with inlet regular Tony Swiderski of Sebastian this morning who reported a very slow bite. Lots of Catfish and Sand Sharks were coming over the rails, but not much in the way of table fare. He's hoping with the coming cold front, things will shape up. We hope so too!
Our first photo today is courtesy of Jose Dore of Palm Bay. Jose took the photo of Connie Beers and Andrew Beers, Jr. of Maysville, KY who landed their good sized Black Drum off the north jetty.
Bill Olexa of Palm Bay sent in our second photo today. Bill was fishing with Ralph Viviano who winters in Sebastian. Ralph landed his C/R Snook off the north jetty using a bucktail. The Snook was released unharmed right after the photo.
Our last photo today is courtesy of Andrew Sampson of Melbourne. Dianne Sampson landed this healthy 14" Sheepshead off the south side of the inlet using clams on Sunday.
