Sebastian Inlet Report

01-13-15 TUESDAY: BLACK DRUM, SHEEPSHEAD, SPECKLED SEA TROUT AND BIG REDS

Things are drying out after the torrential rain we had late yesterday afternoon and evening but the forecast is calling for more rain later this afternoon. Winds are blowing out of the North at 12 mph, gusting to 15 and there is a light chop on the water this morning.

Black Drum and Sheepshead have been active at the inlet. Some nice Sea Trout are being landed in the Indian River Lagoon. Tommy Turowski at the Sebastian Inlet Bait and Tackle Shop reported that on the afternoon outgoing tide, big Reds have been hitting jigs and lures.

Our angler of the day is Garrett Zeak of Merritt Island. Garrett landed this slot sized C/R Snook off the south jetty at dawn using a Rapala X Rap lure. The Snook was released unharmed.
