Palm Beach Report

INSHORE- Not a lot to report on the inshore side of things this week.  The flats fishing around Munyon Island and the Hobe Sound Flats slowed a bit with the warm weather.  Look for the fishing to be best early in the morning and late in the afternoon.  Live shrimp under a popping cork will be the best bet for all around inshore action.  Catch and release snook fishing was a little slower this week.
SURF/PIER- Calm clear conditions kept surf fishing a little sow this week.  Best action this week was on croaker and whiting in the first trough with small pieces of shrimp.  Some nice jacks cruising the beach as well.  Look for the jacks to bite on spoons, popping plugs, and cut bait.  Bluefish are around, but not in great numbers.  Best bet for the bluefish is late afternoon into the night using cut bait.  No pompano reports to speak of this week.  Spanish mackerel action remains very good at Peck's Lake.  A few cobia have been caught along the beach.
