Sebastian Inlet Report

12-09-14 TUESDAY: COOL AND WINDY BUT SUNNY!

Conditions at the inlet this morning are less than stellar. Winds are blowing out of the North-Northwest at 12 mph, gusting to 17. There are waves coming over the north jetty giving a salty shower to those who are brave enough to be out there. Temperatures are in the high 50's but with the wind chill, it feels like low the 50's. There is a small craft advisory through Wednesday evening. We are expecting a dry day today, so that is a plus.

We are seeing a lot of action with Blues, Reds, Snook, Sheepshead, Black Drum and few Flounder on the south side. Anglers anchored outside the inlet channel are seeing some Flounder activity, but the largest we've heard of so far is in the 6 - 7 lb. range. We are hoping this cool down will chill the water a little more and bring some of the big boys into the inlet.

Our first photo features Alek Turko of Indialantic with a 27" slot Red he landed while fishing the banks of the inlet using live shrimp.
Photo two is of some good sized Black Drum Alek landed as well.
Photo three is courtesy of Sally Baughman of WY. Sally took this shot of Jerry of Poinciana with a large Black Drum he landed using clams and sand fleas.
