Sebastian Inlet Report

12-16-14 TUESDAY: BLACK DRUM, SHEEPSHEAD, SNOOK, REDS, SPECKLED TROUT AND A FEW POMPANO AND FLOUNDER

We have a splendid morning at the inlet. Blue skies, lots of sunshine and the water has a light chop. Winds are blowing out of the West-Northwest at 5 mph with gusts up to 9 mph. We have quite a few anglers crowded down on the end of the north jetty, that usually indicates Black Drum are biting.

We received an update from Sally Baughman of WY who gave us a rundown on last week's activities. Monday and Tuesday were crazy with huge waves and the water was murky until Friday. Sally saw a lot of Black Drum come over the rails, one that was about 20 lbs. She saw Red fish in large numbers, a few Snook that were mostly C/R. The Sheepshead were coming over the rails in large numbers as well. She and Jim landed two nice ones along with a Speckled Trout.
Our angler of the day was David Hartwell with a photo of his last night haul, some good eats.
