INSHORE- Snook season is winding down, so take advantage of the last few chances to get one. Look for the snook to be feeding around the bridges at night or following straggler schools of mullet around the grass flats. This is also a nice time of year to look for snook laid up around boat docks in the ICW and Loxahatchee river. Jacks and ladyfish are on the Hobe Sound flats in fairly good numbers, with a pompano or two in the mix. A goofy jig is a great choice for bagging a lot of different species on the flats.
SURF/PIER- Bluefish, jacks, and scattered spanish mackerel have been biting at the Juno Pier most mornings. A gotcha lure ore small diamond jig is a good choice, especially when the wind is blowing. Scattered reports of pompano up and down the beach, with no hot spot to really speak of. Look for surf fishing to improve this weekend with a slight decrease in the east winds that have been hanging around for the last week.
