Sebastian Inlet Report
11-13-14 WEDNESDAY: BLUES, BLACK DRUM, SPANISH MACKEREL, REDS, SNOOK, JACKS, SPADEFISH AND SHEEPSHEAD
We have a little wind to contend with at the inlet this morning, but it is a beautiful day. Winds are blowing out of the North-Northwest at 12mph, gusting to 17. Small craft should exercise caution through this morning. Always check the NOAA forecast before going offshore.
We are seeing some good action at the inlet. Snook, Reds, big Blues, Black Drum, Spanish Mackerel, Jacks, Flounder, Atlantic Spadefish and Sheepshead are active. Many anglers are using shrimp, clams or sand fleas, but those targeting Spanish Mackerel are turning to Gotcha lures.
Our first photo today features Billy Mackolin with an enormous bull Red he landed from the inlet rocks.
Steven Bozzuto of Vero Beach fished the inlet on Monday, and reported a fantastic day of fishing with his family. Team Bozzuto landed their limits of Black Drum, Reds, Sheepshead and Pompano. They were using dead shrimp, fresh clams and sand fleas. Photo two features Steve with a nice Black Drum. Photo three is of Steve Bozzuto with a slot Red and photo four is of Steve with their bounty.
