We have a real nice breeze for our inlet anglers this morning. Anglers fishing off the jetties or beaches are enjoying a Northeast wind out blowing at 9 mph, gusting to 11. There is a moderate chop on the water which could heat up the Redfish and Snook bite, they like it rough! Finger mullet remains abundant.
Kissimmee anglers Skip Stowers and his son Sean fished the inlet and reported that they netted all the bait they needed for the evening in one cast. The men caught a beautiful sunset before getting comfortable for an evening aboard their boat. Skip reported that they landed several oversized C/R Reds, one Shark that jumped twice, in the 40 - 50 lb. range and many, many Jacks, Blues and Ladyfish. Sean landed a huge Gafftopsail Catfish a/k/a "Sail Cat" that had to be close to the state record which is 8 lbs. 14 oz. The Stowers are strictly catch and release anglers, everything was returned to the water to fight another day.
