Sebastian Inlet Report

10-10-14 FRIDAY: TGIF! REDS, SNOOK, SPANISH MACKEREL, BLUE RUNNERS, JACKS, MANGROVE SNAPPER, TARPON, SHARKS, BARRACUDA AND A FEW BLUES, BLACK DRUM AND FLOUNDER

We have a nice breeze blowing out of the East-Northeast at 12 mph, gusting to 16 and there is a moderate chop on the water.

We are seeing the usual cast of characters making appearances for this time of year. Reds, Snook, Spanish Mackerel, Mangrove Snapper, Blue Runners, Jacks and a few Black Drum, Blues and Flounder have started coming around. Tarpon, Sharks and Barracuda are being drawn in by the abundant finger mullet that are present. The flats are producing some good sized Speckled Trout, Reds and Snook.

Our first photo of the day is courtesy of Mike Ricciardi of Vero Beach. Mike took this photo of inlet regular "Granny" of Melbourne. Granny landed what is believed to be the first Black Drum of the season from the north jetty. She was using dead shrimp to land this nice 23" Drum.
Justin Winn and his daughter Teagan of Melbourne Beach are featured in our second photo. Justin landed this nice 30.5" slot Snook on the outgoing tide using a Rapala X-Rap.
Dean Collins of Kissimmee and his friend Rob from Palm Beach are featured in our third photo. Dean landed the Bonnethead Shark using live shrimp on the south side of the inlet.
