There are literally hundreds of different fish targeted by recreational anglers, and a few more targeted only by deepwater commercial people. But every recreational angler worth their salt who has spent a few hundred – or a few thousand – hours on the water have their own collection of "Tips" that help them produce good catches on days when many other anglers catch little if any fish.
Why do some people know more about catching snook than other guys and women do? Knowledge and time on the water is the answer. To help you be better snook anglers, and to help share those many hours on the water we bring to the Website, here is a list of tips that will help you catch more snook.

10 tips and tricks to remember when snook fishing:


1. Have a plan.

Nothing is more important than your having a good idea of what you're going to do that day to catch snook. A plan of where you're going to fish, how you're going to fish, where you're going to get bait and what kind of bait you're looking for, and what lures you might start working with if you love using lures to catch snook.

2. Fish a moving tides.

3. Be quiet.

4. Use Fluorocarbon leader.

5. Scaled Sardines are the best of all baits.

6. Chum for snook with live bait.

7. When you fish a beach for snook, be sure to "fan" your casts.

8. In the winter fish the back country.

9. Fish at night.

10.Wear good sunglasses.
