"Similar Shades"
Lure color choice is all about matching the lure to the water color and contrasting a little at the same time; it is not about picking exactly the "right" color.
Pictured is a Gambler Lures EZ Swimmer in forty niner color and aBruiser Baits Super swimmer in Houdini color. Both colors are similar, but different enough to be easily distinguishable; and today both colors got eaten almost equally (because both nearly matched the water color we were fishing)
