Sebastian Inlet Report

05-21-14 WEDNESDAY: UNCOOPERATIVE SNOOK, BIG JACKS AND A SMATTERING OF OTHER SPECIES

We have another beautiful day at the inlet. Winds are blowing out of the East-Northeast at 10 mph with an occasional gust of 11. There is a light chop on the water. It looks as if the rough seas are leaving us, making offshore less bumpy and hopefully more productive.

Schools of Snook have been hanging around the jetties, but most that are landed have been oversized or breaking off before they can be landed. Joey Tarasavage reported that Pompano have been being landed close to the dredge at the mouth of the inlet. Joey was fortunate enough to get a triple slam in the river on Saturday, a big 8 lb. Trout, a nice Red and a C/R Snook.
Our photo today features Luke Vila of Kissimmee with a Black Margate he landed  using live shrimp.
