Sebastian Inlet Report
04-14-14 MONDAY: BLUES, JACKS, POMPANO, LADYFISH, TROUT, BLACK DRUM, SPANISH MACKEREL AND POMPANO
This morning winds are blowing out of the Southeast at 8 mph, gusting to 11 and there is a moderate chop on the water. We have extreme tides with the full moon; always check the NOAA forecast before going offshore.
We saw a pretty good bite yesterday afternoon; a lot of Blues, Ladyfish and good sized Jacks were in play. Spanish Mackerel are in the inlet, along with Black Drum, Snook, Reds, Trout and Pompano. We received an update from Kissimmee/Seattle residents Benjie and Merly Vasquez who fished the north jetty Friday. Benjie said the afternoon incoming tide was excellent for Pompano, quite a few came over the rails. The Pompano were hitting clams and live shrimp.
Our first photo today is of Merly Vasquez of Kissimmee/Seattle with a nice Pompano she landed .
Photo two is of Benjie Vasquez with two nice Pompano he landed.
