From Henry & Fred @ Snook-Nook - Jensen Beach

Cool mornings then lots of sunshine, with the light showers, not bad but the wind is still blowing. March and April seem to be a little confused.
In spite of the wind and sea conditions the surf has not been that bad and the best part is the fish are eating, no matter the time. One would get tired of the wind on the beach but you only had to be there a short time, when the fish are biting who cares. Blues in numbers for the early angler with a mix of Macs and some real big Jacks all eating cut baits.

Whiting, big Croaker and some Pompano for the rest of the day and in that mix will be Blues, Macs and Jacks. Anglers we talked with all said “ what's with all the fish on the beach”and this went on through out the day. Wind had no side pull to it and three ounce was plenty. A few Pompano no limits..
Finally Pompano at the bridges, early one day and late the next but it was Pompano, a little late but finally and the little jigging spoons did their job. Not big fish but not at the bottom of the slot and then in came the Jacks and every body left, they missed the best part. Bridges have been the place with a large variety form Black Drum to Trout, in the mix were Blues, Macs, Sheep head, Snook and a few I have forgotten. Best part was there was some one there all day and shrimp caught them all.
Lots of Trout from many locations from Middle Cove south to Sail Fish Flats but early was the bite about two hour after sun up they were gone but plenty eating shrimp or small jigs. Reds were in the mix not a lot but there and then came the Blues eating every thing, lots of fish just not all you may have wanted. Snook continue to be strong, lots short for the Flats angler and plenty of big for the late night bridge anglers.
Fishing the flats they were eating any thing you pitched for the Trout but the Bridge it was small shrimp. Anglers were pitching small shrimp to the dark side of the light line and letting the tide move it to the light side, weather they stayed on top or went down when they got to the light side it was time to set the hook.
