How about this beautiful weather, perfect is the best description.  Cool evenings with a little wind but perfect days to be outdoors.  in early hours.  Blues like the cooler water and in the mix you will find Jacks and Mac’s to keep busy with.  Spoon and noise top water chuggers  are all doing well.  these fish are all in the three to five pounds making for excellent table fare.  Plenty of big Whiting all day on a piece of shrimp or clam the only thing missing is the Pompano. Not sure why but it seems the only time they show is at a high tide and that can be a short appearance.  Check your tide charts get to the surf about one hour before, favored bait has been  clams and sand fleas and try fishing up close. These fish usually are there for the long cast but this week it seems it is the short cast. Bring that 12’  rod just in case.

  Cooler evenings may affect the Trout but the Reds like it.  From County Line road north, those long docks are holding plenty of slot Reds. The good thing they are hungry, soft rubber drug slowly across the bottom, live shrimp and yes top water works for every one but me. In the mix are a few Trout, plenty of Jacks and bigger than big Lady Fish. Trout are still hanging in their comfort zone, three feet is that zone.  Slow your baits, fish deep and do not be surprised if you find all the Jacks and Lady Fish in the river. Still plenty of Black Drum at the bridges and with  them are plenty of Sheephead, Blues, Mac’s and plenty of Snapper.  Snook, wait for the sun to go down and pick a bridge  free line a shrimp, pitch a Flair Hawk or how about a live Mullet they have been a hungry group.  Best bet for Pompano is in coming water at the bridges, the Sail Fish Flats and the North Fork of the St  Lucie, it seems they come in with that high tide and they like the flowing water, jigging spoons have been taking a toll.
