02-11-14 TUESDAY: BLACK DRUM, SHEEPSHEAD, WHITING, BLUES AND SNOOK
Our anemometer and weather summary are updating once again. Our web cam provider will try to keep it up and running before they make a mandatory site visit to replace a set of batteries.
We have a gorgeous morning at the inlet! Winds are blowing out of the East at 3 mph, gusting to 5 and the water has a light chop. Blue skies and sunshine are abundant this morning, but we could see some clouds later, but no rain. What a great day to get out and wet a line!
Yesterday a couple of C/R Snook were landed around daybreak according to Mike Ricciardi of Vero Beach. Also, several nice Black Drum came over the rails, along with a few Whiting and a Sheepshead or two. A slow day, but at least some decent fish were biting!
Our angler of the day is Sharon Nonamaker of Vienna, WV. Sharon landed this 20" Sheepshead off the north jetty yesterday morning using live shrimp. This was Sharon's first Sebastian Inlet fish!
