Sebastian Inlet Report
02-14-14 FRIDAY: BLACK DRUM, SEA TROUT, SHEEPSHEAD, SPANISH MACKEREL, BLUES, WHITING AND A FEW SNOOK AND REDS
We have a stunning morning at the Sebastian Inlet. It's a little chilly, but we have abundant sunshine and clear blue skies. We have a gorgeous weekend predicted and it looks as if Sunday will be great for all of our boaters. The bite has picked up and it just doesn't get much better than this!
We've seen a variety of catches this week including large Black Drum, Sea Trout, Spanish Mackerel, Sheepshead, Whiting, Blues and a couple of Snook and Reds.
Our first photo today is of Fred Slopsema who is wintering at his Sebastian home. Fred landed this beautiful 22" Speckled Sea Trout near the south catwalk. Fred was fishing for Snook using a lure, but wound up with this nice Trout instead.
Photo two features (L-R) Ray Rodriguez, his son John Luis and Francisco Frias of Orlando with a couple of Spanish Mackerel that were landed. The men were using silver spoons and had 10 - 12 Mackerel between them.
Our third photo features inlet regular Mike Ricciardi of Vero Beach. Mike landed his two Sheepshead on using live shrimp. Mike also landed a 26" Black Drum.
