Sebastian Inlet Report
01-15-14 WEDNESDAY: BLACK DRUM, REDS, SHEEPSHEAD, SEA TROUT
It's a pretty morning at the inlet, a few clouds but very pleasant. Winds are blowing out of the West-Northwest at 5 mph and gusting to 9. There is a light chop on the water but the wind is expected to pick up and the water will get rougher as the day progresses. A small craft advisory will be in effect from late tonight through Thursday night.
Black Drum were in play yesterday, but not real steady. Mike Ricciardi of Vero Beach fished the north jetty yesterday and reported Black Drum coming over the rails in ones and twos, most anglers were using clams. It seems as if the afternoon has been more productive, at least it was the day before. With a full moon tonight and a cold front moving in, we're not sure what it will do for fishing, hopefully send some fish our way!
Linda Norcross of Melbourne reported that her husband Josh has been catching some nice Trout on the flats.
Our angler of the day is Fay Chu of Orlando. Fay landed his Black Drum using live shrimp.
