Sebastian Inlet Report

01-14-14 TUESDAY: BLACK DRUM AND REDS

We have another beautiful morning at the inlet. We better enjoy the nice weather while we've got it. We've got a cool down on the way, and we should have a pretty chilly day on Thursday and Friday. This morning winds are blowing out of the Southwest at 10 mph, gusting to 15 and there is a moderate chop on the water.

We received an update from winter inlet regular Rich Blum who fished the north jetty yesterday afternoon. Rich arrived at 11:30 a.m. as Tony Swiderski of Sebastian was leaving. Tony landed three Black Drum in the morning then ran out of bait, up to that point he was the only one having much luck. Rich reported a steady Black Drum bite for the afternoon anglers, Rich only got one but had a wonderful time, and many anglers left with their limit of 5. Rich also reported quite a few slot Reds in the mix, making many anglers ecstatic.
Our angler of the day is Hank Christianson of Idaho/Melbourne Beach with two Black Drum.
