Sebastian Inlet Report
01-13-14 MONDAY: SLOW BITE AT THE INLET
It's a beautiful morning at the inlet. Winds are blowing out of the south at 6 mph and gusting to 8. There is a moderate chop on the water. What a great morning to get out and do some fishing!
The weekend was on the slow side according to Tommy Turowski at the Sebastian Inlet Bait and Tackle Shop. Tommy reported a few nice Pompano, Black Drum, Sheepshead, Flounder, undersized Blues and small, thin Spanish Mackerel. A lot of Catfish were making appearances due to the cloudy water.
Our angler of the day is inlet regular John Jeffers of Melbourne. John and his dad Jim were fishing the south catwalk on Friday and after fishing for several hours without a bite, started landing a few decent Sheepshead in the late morning, using sandfleas.
