Sebastian Inlet Report

11-01-13 FRIDAY: TGIF! REDS, SNAPPER, BLACK DRUM, SPANISH MACKEREL, JACKS, A FEW POMPANO AND MARGATE

We have less wind today at the inlet. Winds are blowing out of the Southwest at 5 mph and the water is calm. Skies are overcast and the forecast is calling for potential rain. Be sure to take rain gear, sunscreen, insect repellent and plenty of water if you head to the inlet today.

We received and update from Mike Ricciardi of Vero Beach who fished the north jetty yesterday morning. Mike reported a good early morning Redfish bite from 6:30 - 8:00 and an occasional Black Drum. Jacks in the 5 - 10 lb. range were plentiful; they were exhausting the anglers and using up all of their baits. Mike landed a 27" Red using live shrimp and an 18" Black Drum using a dead shrimp/clam combo. Several nice sized Mangrove Snapper were brought over the rails by Chris Robison and Spiro Stathoupolos who were using dead shrimp and small, live mullet. Jose Dore, Jr. joined his dad, Jose Dore, Sr. one of our inlet regulars, for a north jetty introduction and landed a 27.5" C/R Red.
Our first
two photos are courtesy of Mike Ricciardi. Mike took this shot of his cousin Phil Ricciardi who was visiting from New Berlin, NY, with two real good sized Spanish Mackerel that were landed off the north jetty last Wednesday. Beautiful Macks Phil!
Our second photo is of both Maloney brothers, Chris and Matthew with more Jacks they landed Wednesday evening. Way to go guys!

Our next two photos are courtesy of Mike Ricciardi. Mike took this shot of his cousin Phil Ricciardi who was visiting from New Berlin, NY, with two real good sized Spanish Mackerel that were landed off the north jetty.
Tim Gentzlinger of Indian Harbour Beach and Earl Truman of Vero Beach are featured in our third photo today. The men landed their 22" and 26" Reds off the north jetty using finger mullet and live shrimp.

Our last photo features Anthony Angelone with a 28"
Spanish Mackerel he landed using a gotcha lure.
