Sebastian Inlet Report
10-16-13 REDS, SNOOK, SHEEPSHEAD, SNAPPER AND JACKS
Winds are blowing out of the Northeast at 3 mph and the water has a light chop.
We received an update from inlet regular Mike Ricciardi of Vero Beach who fished the north jetty yesterday morning and reported a beautiful day but a slow morning for Snook and Reds. Mike White of Sebastian landed a C/R Snook at 33". Five or six oversized Reds came over the rails, Tony Swiderski of Sebastian landed the only slot Red of the morning which was 24". Mike and Luis Segura of Palm Bay landed slot Reds in the early afternoon at 23" and 27". Live finger mullet produced the best results. A lot of really big Jacks were caught in the 10 - 15 lb. range along with an assortment of other species including undersized Pompano, Mutton Snapper and Sheepshead.
Our first photo today is courtesy of Oliver M. of Sebring. who landed a mixed bag of species which included a 12" Mangrove Snapper, 2 nice, fat Grunts and a 23" C/R Snook. The real excitement came when his son Kian landed the nice 12" Flounder in our first photo today. Kian also landed two more on Sunday.
Justin Maldano is featured in our second photo with a 34" C/R Snook he landed using finger mullet on the outgoing tide to land this nice Snook.
Charley Donley landed the 40 lb. C/R Red in our third photo last week off the north jetty. The Red was released unharmed after the photo.
Luis Segura of Palm Bay and Mike Ricciardi of Vero Beach are featured in our fourth photo. The men landed their slot Reds off the north jetty yesterday around noon using finger mullet.
Andrew Sampson finishes up our photos today with a juvenile Black Grouper he landed and released off the south side.
