Sebastian Inlet Report

08-21-13 WEDNESDAY: MANGROVE SNAPPER, REDS, C/R SNOOK AND VARIOUS STRAGGLERS

We have some cloud cover over the inlet this morning, keeping the temperature down for our anglers. There's a nice breeze blowing out of the Southeast at 7 mph that is helping keep conditions more tolerable. Mangrove Snapper have been the best bet at the inlet the past couple of days; we've seen some nice schools coming through. A few Reds have come over the rails, C/R Snook and a few stragglers of Lookdowns, Margate and Flounder have been caught.

Photo two features Adam Young, using a swim bait on the incoming tide, Adam landed this nice C/R Snook which he estimated to be in the 34" range. He didn't take time to measure it; he got it back into the water safely after a quick photo.
We received an update from Chuck Fischer of Satellite Beach who fished the north jetty yesterday morning and reported a very good Mangrove Snapper bite. Just about everybody who was fishing for Snapper, reached their limit of five. Two slot Reds came over the rails, both landed on mojarra. Larry Robison of West Melbourne landed one of the two and is featured in our second photo today.
