Sebastian Inlet Report
07-15-13 MONDAY: MANGROVE SNAPPER, JACKS, A FEW SPANISH MACKEREL, BLUE RUNNERS AND BIG REDS
This morning winds are blowing out of the North at 8 mph and there is a light chop on the water. Skies are a little overcast and we could see some rain today. Be sure to go prepared for everything if you head to the inlet during the summer months. We suggest rain gear, sunscreen, insect repellent and lots of water.
Tommy Turowski of the Sebastian Inlet Bait and Tackle Shop reported that over the weekend Mangrove Snapper, Jacks, a few Spanish Mackerel, Blue Runners and Permit were landed. Big Reds are still out there and anglers using live shrimp or poppers are having luck. The Permit have been going for live crabs on the outgoing tide.
Our angler of the day is Bill Hillman of Orlando with a huge, 44" C/R Red he landed off the north jetty on. Bill estimated the Red to be approximately 27 lbs.The big Red was released right after the photo.
