Sebastian Inlet Report

06-04-13 TUESDAY: SPANISH MACKEREL, REDS, JACKS AND A FEW PERMIT

We have overcast skies at the inlet this morning, but it's still beautiful. There is very little wind this morning, it's blowing out of the West at 1 mph and there is a small swell that a few surfers are taking advantage of on the north side. As always, use caution when casting into the surfing area when surfers are present. Be sure to take insect repellent with you if you head to the inlet today, no see 'ums are out in force!

Our angler of the day is Dennis Adams of Cincinnati, OH. Dennis and his dad, Dennis, Sr. were vacationing and decided to hit the north jetty. Using live shrimp, Dennis landed the Sheepshead and good sized Jack in our photo. Dennis reported that some Spanish Mackerel came over the rails, his dad landed a 46" C/R Snook and a big ol' Goliath Grouper about 150 - 175 lbs. was landed and released. There are some huge Goliaths lurking under the jetty, just waiting for an unsuspecting angler to catch its next meal!
