Sebastian Inlet Report
06-03-13 MONDAY: REDS, MANGROVE SNAPPER, SPANISH MACKEREL, PERMIT AND JACKS
We have a gorgeous morning at the inlet. Winds are blowing out of the West-Southwest at 3 mph and there is a moderate chop on the water. We all know that no wind = so see 'ums, take insect repellent if you head to the inlet today. We have a small swell for the surfers and there are a few in the water taking advantage. As always, use caution when casting into the surfing area.
Over the weekend the action picked up, according to Tommy Turowski at the Sebastian Inlet Bait and Tackle Shop. Big Reds were hitting poppers, a few Spanish Mackerel, lots of Jacks, a few nice Permit have been landed off the tip of the north jetty and Mangrove Snapper are increasing in size and quantity.
Photo one is of Chuck Fischer of Satellite Beach with an oversized Red he landed and released.
Photo two is of Mangrove Snapper on the north jetty grate.
Photo three is of a Spanish Mackerel.
