Sebastian Inlet Report

04-08-13 MONDAY: BLUES, SNOOK, JACKS, SPANISH MACKEREL, SHEEPSHEAD, SEA TROUT, REDS AND FLOUNDER

It's another beautiful spring morning at the inlet. Winds are blowing out of the North-Northeast at 4 mph and there is a moderate chop on the water.

Over the weekend we had a nice variety of fish landed. Black Drum, Sheepshead, big Blues and Jacks, oversized and slot Snook, Spanish Mackerel, Sea Trout and a few Flounder and Reds all made appearances. Tommy Turowski of the Sebastian Inlet Bait and Tackle Shop reported that this morning large Blues and oversized Snook are biting and Spanish Mackerel are hitting lures.
Our first photo today features Nathan N. Mahai Sr. of Mt. Dora with a Flounder he landed off the north jetty  using live shrimp.
Our second photo features Nathan K. Mahai Jr. of Mt. Dora with a Black Drum he landed using shrimp. The father and son duo were having better luck than anyone out there, with the Black Drum, two Flounder and a Sheepshead.
