From Capt Joe Ward @ Bait Shack - FT Pierce

INSHORE - With the water warming you can look for a good trout and redfish bite around the islands to the north of the North Bridge. Live pilchards are taking some big trout from 6 to 8 pounds and the smaller ones are taking a live shrimp fished under a popping cork. For the redfish use a soft plastic bait or a piece of cut ladyfish. The snook fishing has been good around the bridges and in the Ft. Pierce Inlet. Live pinfish has been the bait of choice. The sheepshead bite continues to be red hot around just about any structure you fish. Try a live shrimp and fish it on a 1/4oz. jighead. There are a lot of bluefish and spanish mackerel in the Ft. Pierce Inlet. Try drifting a live bait or trolling spoons.
