Sebastian Inlet Report

03-06-13 WEDNESDAY: BLUES, BLACK DRUM, SHEEPSHEAD, MARGATE, SNOOK, REDS, FLOUNDER AND JACKS

It's warming up little by little; it's on the cool side, but gorgeous at the inlet. We'll see the temperature rise to around 70 today. This morning winds are blowing out of the Northwest at 12 mph, but gusting to 21, that's why there are so many raincoats on the jetty! A small craft advisory remains in effect through Thursday morning.

We're seeing the usual variety of fish but not in any great quantities. Sheepshead, Blues, Black Drum, Snook, Reds, Jacks, Margate, an occasional Flounder or Pompano. There have been some nice fish for the patient angler!

Our first photo today is of 12 year old Spencer Thomas of Gouverneur, NY with his first inlet catches, two large Bluefish! Great job Spencer!

Photo two features (L-R) George Thomas, Ponce Perone and Spencer Thomas with their Bluefish catches. Way to go gentlemen!

Tony Bellamy of Ocala is featured in our third photo with a multi-spotted slot Red. Nice catch Tony!

Photo four shows a pretty good breeze at sunrise and our last photo is a great sunrise shot of the north jetty. Thanks Trina!
