Sebastian Inlet Report

03-04-13 MONDAY: BLACK DRUM, SHEEPSHEAD, REDS, SPANISH MACKEREL AND SNOOK, BUT NOTHING IN BIG NUMBERS

We have another chilly morning at the inlet. Over the weekend, we had some pretty cold temperatures, particularly yesterday when it didn't get out of the 50's and winds were high. Not a lot of people got out and fished in the brutal conditions.

However not everyone stayed home either; we received an update from inlet regular Mike Misserville who couldn't stay away with the cold front hitting. Mike fished Saturday and reported one slot Snook at 32" and one oversized Snook. Sheepshead were biting along with Spanish Mackerel, Black Drum and Reds. Mike landed a 26.25" Red and a 28" Black Drum.
Craig Spicer of upstate NY fished the inlet and landed this beautiful 34.5" C/R Snook at last light. This big Snook hit a large shrimp on Craig's last cast before returning home. Craig reported his brother "Snookman" Dave Spicer led him to this fish after he had one break off.
Photo two is of Mike Misserville's 26.25" Red and 28" Black Drum. That was worth getting cold for!
