Sebastian Inlet Report
02-06-13 WEDNESDAY: SHEEPSHEAD, BLACK DRUM, BLUES, REDS, SNOOK AND FLOUNDER
We have another beautiful morning at the Sebastian Inlet! Winds are blowing out of the South at 4 mph and the water is clean and calm.
We've had the usual cast of characters swimming in, out and around the inlet. Brooke Ashley of the Sebastian Inlet Bait and Tackle reported she heard there were some Flounder being landed in the inlet along with anglers on both jetties landing Sheepshead, Blues, Black Drum, Reds and Snook. The Snook have been biting better during the evening and early morning hours on the incoming tide. Bucktails work well at night, but for daylight hours, live shrimp or other live bait works best. Thanks Brooke!
Our first angler today is Deryk Gee of Winter Haven. Deryk landed this good sized Sheepshead off the north jetty using sand fleas.
Our second photo is of some nice Pompano that were landed in by Jose Pina of Orlando. We haven't seen many around lately, but these will make a tasty meal!
