Sebastian Inlet Report
02-13-13 WEDNESDAY: SHEEPSHEAD, BLACK DRUM, SNOOK, REDS AND SEA TROUT
Winds are blowing out of the South-Southwest at 10 mph this morning. The ocean side of the inlet is fairly calm, but the inlet and south side are choppy, small craft should exercise caution. We have a chance of rain off and on today; if you head to the inlet, go prepared.
The action has been on the slow side during daylight hours, evenings have been producing Snook and Reds. During the day, we've seen Sheepshead being landed on sand fleas and Black Drum in low numbers have been taking clams. Sea Trout are being found on the flats. Brooke Ashley of the Sebastian Inlet Bait and Tackle reported early this morning a few Snook came over the rails of the north jetty. Inlet regular Roger Bullock landed a 10 lb. Jack this morning using a popper and a long rod.
Our angler of the day is Cado Simas of Vero Beach who landed this 32" slot Snook using a bucktail.
