From Henry@ Snook-Nook - Jensen Beach

Well maybe it is not cool enough for the Pompano but it sure is
nice weather to me. From surf it has been Blues, Whiting and big Croakers, mix

in a Flounder or two and it has been a productive day at the beach. Early for the Blues using cut baits, a medium cast will put you in their zone. Not a crazy catch but plenty to pull the line. I believe it is a little to warm for the big run but cool enough to bring them in. These fish are in the 3/5 pound class excellent table fare and yes there will be a few through out the day fish early for the best results. Mid morning is when the edge will warm to a perfect temp for the Whiting, these fish are just a pitch to find their zone, please remember the ice. Favored baits has been pieces of shrimp, clam and fish bites, yes a Bluefish will stop buy and try a taste so watch our fingers. Lots of baits in the surf so watch your equipment, lots of anglers talking about the Spinner Sharks.  River fishing has been excellent, plenty of Trout and Reds but with a lot of other fish it has been busy. Lots of rod benders, Black Drum, Sheephead, Lady fish, Jacks and the list goes on. No, none of those pesky Pompano, the water is just to warm. How lucky we are, I had two anglers in from the south that wanted to wade so I took out our little map gave them a few spots and they were amazed at their catch and the number of waders that they saw, access to our water. Top water early then to suspending lures and yes live shrimp all did their job. From north to south, depending on witch way the wind was blowing it has been a good week. Bridges and piers again this week saw plenty of Black Drum, big Sheephead along with Blues, Jacks, lady fish and even saw a Triple Tail from a channel marker, south Florida I love this place.
