Sebastian Inlet Report
01-09-13 WEDNESDAY: SPANISH MACKEREL, BLUES AND POMPANO
This morning we have clouds over the inlet. Winds are blowing out of the Southeast at 10 mph and there is a moderate chop on the water. We have a forecast of sun and clouds with a 25% chance of rain, so be sure to take your rain gear if you head to the inlet today.
Yesterday we saw about the same level of activity as Monday, according to Tommy Turowski of the Sebastian Inlet Bait and Tackle Shop. A slow morning with Blues and Spanish Mackerel making appearances late in the afternoon. Pompano fishermen were lining the beach on the south side, but he didn't hear how they did.
Our first photo today is courtesy of Mike Ricciardi of Vero Beach. Mike took this photo of Tony Swiderski of Sebastian Thursday morning, with a real nice 26" Black Drum.
Our last photo today is of a cooler full of Pompano and Spanish Mackerel landed by Kevin Reinecke of Palm Bay and SISP Ranger Ed Perry.
