Sebastian Inlet Report
01-15-13 TUESDAY: BLACK DRUM, BLUES, SEA TROUT, SHEEPSHEAD AND POMPANO
This morning we have overcast skies at the Inlet. The wind is barely blowing out of the West-Northwest and the water is calm. The new fishing regulations for 2013 have been posted. They can be found by clicking the link on the top right corner of this page titled "FWC Regulations". You may want to print them out and have them on hand when you head out to fish.
Black Drum, Blues, a few real nice Sheepshead and Sea Trout are making appearances at the inlet. Pompano have been active off the south beach, and a few are being landed off the jetties. Our Flounder expert, SISP Ranger Ed Perry reports that many of the Flounder caught recently have been "skinny" and are best released, but there still are a few fatties around.
Our first photo today is of inlet regular Tony Swiderski of Sebastian. Tony landed this Pompano off the north jetty using shrimp.
