Sebastian Inlet Report

12-10-12 FRIDAY: BLACK DRUM, SHEEPSHEAD, POMPANO, FLOUNDER, REDS, BLUES, SNOOK AND LADYFISH

It's a gorgeous morning at the inlet. A switch in wind direction has the water calm, this morning it's blowing out of the Southwest at 8 mph. What a great day to be out fishing!

We received an update from Mike Ricciardi of Vero Beach on Friday morning's north jetty activities. Quite a few Black Drum were landed in the early morning hours, and then it became spotty after 7:30 a.m. Several nice Sheepshead, a couple of slot Reds and one or two Pompano came over the rails while Mike was on the north jetty.
Tommy Turowski of the Sebastian Inlet Bait and Tackle Shop reported that the weekend delivered Black Drum, Sheepshead, Flounder, Blues and a few Snook and Reds. Tommy said the bite was really pretty good!

After reading Friday's fishing report about Rob Moore's Tripletail, Justin Robinson wrote in that he and a friend were out gigging on 12/2and spotted two huge Tripletail on the flats in just a few of feet of water. Last night, the two friends were out in the same area and spotted another big Tripletail in shallow water.
Our first photo today features Eileen Wright of Bradenton. Eileen and her husband were fishing the north jetty  in the afternoon and Eileen hooked up with several good sized Blues within a matter of minutes, using mullet.
Photo two features Lionel Rantissoon of Kissimmee. Lionel landed this big Black Drum using clams. Lionel also had a real nice Pompano in his cooler!
