INSHORE
Trout, trout and trout! The trout bite has been outstanding this past week! Fish spoil islands, mangroves and the Wabasso bridge. Use live shrimp, D.O.A. shad or try one of our new additions..... "Unfair Lures". The redfish bite has been steady....fish the mangroves and the docks. The pompano bite is good but they are still on the small side. For best results...fish the Wabasso bridge using a Doc's goofy Jig tipped with clam. If you are targeting flounder, fish the docks and oyster beds. Use finger mullet, mud minnows, live shrimp or a Gulfstream lure. Lots and lots of sheepshead... fish the docks using live shrimp.
INLET
Black drum, sheepshead, pompano, flounder, spanish mackerel, jacks, blues, redfish and some snook has been the catch of the week. The snook bite has slowed down.... fish the inlet using the tides for best results.
SURF
Pompano, use clams, Doc's Goofy jigs or sand fleas. The blue fish have been hitting on spoons and the whiting have been biting live shrimp or clams. Over size tarpon... fish at night.
